Life Story for Perry Prochnow

Perry H. Prochnow, age 61, a Manitowoc resident, died Thursday, December 5, 2013 at his residence.

He was born on May 4, 1952 in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, son of the late Clarence C. & Jeanette (Blaha) Prochnow. Perry was a graduate of Oak Creek High School. He served in the United States Army and then went into the Reserves from which he retired after 22 years of serving his Country. On July 22, 2011 he married the former Tammy Sinnaeve in Manitowoc. Perry was employed with the Manitowoc Public Utilities for 25 years, retiring on May 10, 2012. He was a member of the Eagles Aerie Club #706 and a lifetime member of AMVETS Post #99 and American Legion Drews Bleser Post #88.

Survivors include his wife: Tammy Prochnow, Manitowoc; a son and daughter-in-law: Shane & Melissa Prochnow, Georgia; a daughter and son-in-law: Sabrina & Billy Rado, Ohio; his grandchildren; step-children; step grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law: Judy & Dennis Breutzman, Oak Creek; a sister-in-law: June Prochnow, Arizona; and special friends: his little brothers Scotty & Tony; and his little sister Carrie. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was also preceded in death by a brother: Wayne Prochnow.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, December 9, 2013 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Service will be Deacon Alan Boeldt. Military Rites will be accorded by AMVETS Post #99 and American Legion Drews Bleser Post #88. Cremation will occur after the service at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, and Perry will be laid to rest at a later date.

The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 9, 2013 until 2:45 p.m.

The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Holy Family Cancer Care Center and Holy Family Hospice. Also, to Cari, Donna, Alison, and Sara for their care and compassion shown towards Perry and his family.

Perry enjoyed fishing, playing golf with his friends and working on small engines. He also enjoyed helping out his friends any way he could. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
