Obituary for James Phillip "Jim" Landon

James Phillip "Jim"  Landon
James P. “Jim” Landon, age 53, presently of Denmark, passed away Wednesday morning, October 10, 2018 at Bellin Hospital, Green Bay, due to complications from heart/lung disease.

Jim was born August 2, 1965 in Manitowoc, son of Carol Stone (Landon) Jaeger and Garth P. Landon. He was a graduate of Washington High School, Two Rivers with the class of 1983. Jim attended U.W. Green Bay, graduating with the class of 1988. He later attended Lakeland College and graduated with honors with the class of 2001.

Jim was the former owner/operator of JT Cd’s, was employed with BlockBuster, taught school for 2 years at L.B. Clark Middle School, Two Rivers, was working at the Oneida Bingo & Casino, Green Bay and had been a substitute teacher for the Manitowoc Public School System. He was a movie, music and TV buff, an animal lover, especially cats, a lifelong fan of the Packers, Brewers, Badgers and Bucks but mostly enjoyed watching his kids in all their activities.

Survivors include one daughter: Elizabeth Landon; one son: Brent Landon, both of Manitowoc; his very special person in his life: Sherry Rollin, Denmark and her children; Vanessa Nemetz, Derek Nemetz, Megan Rollin and Luke Rollin; his father: Garth Landon (special friend Mary Ciokosz), Manitowoc; his mother and step-father: Carol & Don Jaeger, Mishicot; one brother and sister-in-law: Lane & Aggee Landon, Manitowoc; one sister and brother-in-law: Julie & Todd Coenen, Manitowoc; three god children: Max, Nicki & Emilee; a very special friend: Tim Kreischer, Tisch Mills; mother of his children: Becky Landon, Manitowoc; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jim was preceded in death by one brother Randy “Pablo” Landon, maternal grandparents Albert & Lucille Stone, paternal grandparents John & Marian Landon and two special aunts Sharon Redeker and Linda Luckow.

Cremation has taken place at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc and a Memorial Service for Jim will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday, October 15, 2018 at the Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Julie Barger with interment of Jim’s cremated remains to take place at a later date.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the Klein & Stangel Funeral Home on Monday, October 15, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
