Life Story for Helen J. Lachowicz

Helen J. Lachowicz, age 89, formerly of Two Rivers, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Hannah Home II, Manitowoc.

Helen was a native of Two Rivers, born at home on April 8, 1930 in, daughter of Polish immigrants, Peter and Emilia (Sienzart) Lachowicz. She attended Sacred Heart Grade School and was a graduate of Two Rivers Washington High School. Helen was a very proud graduate of Marquette University with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing. She spent most of her life as a nurse in surgery. Helen started her career at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Milwaukee and then worked for Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc and Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc until her retirement in 1995.

Survivors include nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents: Peter and Emilia Lachowicz; one brother Josef Lachowicz; one sister Mary (Lachowicz) Schultz; one brother-in-law Joseph Schultz; and one nephew: Chuck Schultz.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Tom Reynebeau with burial to take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
