Life Story for Chauncey W. Barfoot

Chauncey W.  Barfoot
Chauncey W. Barfoot, age 88, a former Amberg, WI., resident at his “Northran Paradise Acres” passed away peacefully at his home Thursday, December 6, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on January 7, 1930 in Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada, son of the late Joseph and Rita (Snowden McEwen) Barfoot. On September 30, 1953 he married his beloved wife Billie Maxine “Max”. Chauncey grew up in Owen Sound and moved to the United States in 1956 and became a U.S. Citizen. In his younger years, he was in the Canadian Merchant Marines. Chauncey was a member of Iron Workers Local 8 for 67 years. He enjoyed visits with family, swimming and feeding fish in his quarry, building things in his shop, cutting wood and riding his John Deere, while grooming his paradise.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years: Billie Maxine Barfoot; four children: Shane Barfoot (special friend Darlene), Joseph (Ellie) Barfoot, Patrick (Kathy) Barfoot, Anita (Brian) Berg; seven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by many family and friends.
