Life Story for Jeanette M. Hochkammer

Jeanette M.  Hochkammer
Jeanette M. Hochkammer, age 93, a resident of Laurel Grove Assisted Living, Manitowoc, formerly of 5908 Center Road, Manitowoc, died Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Laurel Grove.
She was born on March 25, 1925 in the Town of Liberty, daughter of the late Edwin and Agnes (Hecker) Schnell. On March 25, 1944 she married William O. Hochkammer Sr. at Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on October 10, 2017. In her younger years, Jeanette worked at Tinsel Factory in Manitowoc. She enjoyed taking care of people, operating Hochkammer Home for Boys from 1970 to 1986 and then from 1987 until 2004 for the elderly. Jeanette was a past member of the Newton Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary and Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church Ladies Aid.
Survivors include her children: William O. and Marcia Hochkammer Jr., Michigan, Jim E. and Yvonne Hochkammer, Manitowoc, Robert E. Hochkammer and his significant other Bonnie Gannon, Plymouth, Jon H. and Debbie Hochkammer, Verona, WI., Tom E. and Anne Hochkammer, Manitowoc, Paul L. and Johnna Hochkammer, Manitowoc, Donna F. and Rick Wippermann, Newton; 19 Grandchildren; 34 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great Great Grandchildren; and a sister-in-law: Bernice Hochkammer. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by a grandchild: Terry Hochkammer; a great grandchild: Zachery Hochkammer; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Kenneth and Ruth Schnell, Harold and Alice Schnell; and one sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law: Edna (Buddy) Hackman and Erwin Hochkammer.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church, 6524 County Road C, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Service will be the Rev. Kyle Sorensen with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church, Manitowoc, from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2018. Friends may also call Thursday morning at the church from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
