Rene O. Seanez, age 68, of Two Rivers, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, on Friday, November 6, 2020 at home surrounded by his family.
Rene was born July 10, 1952 in El Paso, TX, son of Esther (Alba) Seanez and the late Ernest Seanez. He was a stage hand by trade, working for many different venues and was a member of IATSE Local #158 Fresno and Local #470 Green Bay.
He also worked at Country Kitchen as a Night Manager for many years until they closed. After retiring he continued to work at Sam's Club and later at Walmart.
Rene was a deeply religious man who made friends wherever he went. His family of work friends were dear to him. Rene always said that his goal was to leave everyone he met with a smile on their face. Rene's sense of humor and genuine caring and compassion touched many hearts. When you think of Rene and it brings a smile, he would ask that you pay it forward and leave someone else smiling too.
Rene loved his family. There was not a baby or a dog around that did not instantly take to him. He really enjoyed being a Grandpa. He was famous for his enchiladas and anything barbequed. His cooking style usually involved smoke which he considered additional seasoning. He will be deeply missed by all of us.
Rene is survived by his life partner: Mary Elliston, Two Rivers; and her children: Kristen Rae Elliston-Brabant (Wade); Erin Marie Kanzenbach; Carrie Elizabeth Parker (Jack); Andrew Christopher Kanzenbach; Grace Lorene Ruth Kanzenbach; Mary’s grandchildren: Noah, Moira, Judah, Urijah, Jeremiah, Kristopher, Micah, Caleb, Asher; his siblings: Esther “Itsy” Barnard ; Martin Seanez; Tom Seanez (Cecelia); his children: Ernie Seanez (Shannon) and their child Devon; James Seanez and his child Jayden; Tayna Seanez Madrigal (Ramiro) and their children Joseph, Jillian, Ramiro, Jr.; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and Mary’s infant son Christopher Kanzenbach.
Cremation has taken place at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been set up by the family to help cover expenses.
