Obituary for Stanley T. Mott

Stanley T.  Mott
Stanley T. Mott, age 89, of Two Rivers, died on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at his residence.

Stanley was born on July 3, 1931 in Larrabee, son of the late Willard and Anna (Chaloupka) Mott. He served in the U.S. Army 7th Infantry Division during the Korean War in the Chosin Reservoir. On October 11, 1952 he married the former Shirley DeBroux at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Two Rivers. She preceded him in death on September 18, 2014. Stanley owned and operated Stan’s Marina and also worked for Vinton Construction Company for 42 years until his retirement. He was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers, Northeastern Wisconsin Great Lakes Sport Fishermen, the Operating Engineer’s Local 139 Union, the Chosin Few and a lifelong member of the Mishicot VFW Post #7753. Stanley hosted the “Take A Kid Fishing on Lake Michigan Day” every year to support Big Brothers Big Sisters youth fishing in the area.

Survivors include three children and their spouses: Paul (Kay) Mott, David (Kelly) Mott, Brenda (Randy) Novak, all of Two Rivers; six grandchildren: Chris (Denee) Mott, Two Rivers, Eric Mott and fiancée Shawntel Hoffman, Two Rivers, Kevin Mott, Two Rivers, Sara (Nate) Derenne, Francis Creek, Lisa (Louie) Kumbalek, Two Rivers, Danny Novak, Green Bay; 13 great grandchildren: Olivia, Henry, Julia, Auggie, Isaac, James, Owen, Noah, Brock, Lexi, Lincoln, Connor, Liam. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Shirley; daughter: Nancy Marie Mott; one grandson: Shaun Novak; many brothers and sisters-in-law; and many sisters and brothers-in-law.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. David Pleier with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers. Military Rites will be accorded by the Mishicot VFW Post #7753.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m.
