Obituary for Cornelia T. "Cory" Reitmeyer (Weyenberg)
Cornelia “Cory” T. Reitmeyer, age 95, a Manitowoc resident, passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Cory was born on March 25, 1926 in Dundee, IL, daughter of the late Leo C. and Rose (Dekelver) Weyenberg. On May 26, 1951 she married Frederick W. Reitmeyer at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Cory was a member of the Holy Family Prayer Group. She was also a member of the Worship Committee, Communion Distribution of St. Paul Catholic Church, the Alter Society, New Life Christian Minstrels and a CCD Teacher for St. Paul Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband: Frederick Reitmeyer, Manitowoc; their eight children: Susan Pat (Stan) Stack, Downers Grove, IL, Sally (James) Ahrens, St. Nazianz, Mary Kay Reitmeyer, Manitowoc, Lori Hansen, Manitowoc, Lynn Reitmeyer, Manitowoc, Anthony (Mary Ann) Reitmeyer, Cato, Fred Todd Reitmeyer, Manitowoc, Timothy (Denise) Reitmeyer, Appleton; 12 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters and two infant sisters: Mary Dwyer, Elenore McDonell; two brothers: Leo and Vincent Weyenberg; and many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Cremation has taken place at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, and funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 7, 2021 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, 1416 Grand Ave, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Doug LeCaptain. If you plan to attend, masks are required and please social distance when possible. The funeral service will be live streamed on the Lakeshore Family Funeral Home Facebook page beginning at 9:45 a.m.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, May 7, 2021 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, Manitowoc, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 10:00a.m.
