Robert W. Degener, age 54, a Manitowoc resident, died early Sunday morning, October 23, 2016, at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice Center in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin.
Bob was born on July 26, 1962 in Elmhurst IL, son of the late Richard and Marcia (Ahbe) Degener. He was a graduate of Prospect High School in Mount Prospect IL, class of 1980. He then graduated from UW Stevens Point with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Forestry in 1984. Bob was employed with Red Arrow Products of Manitowoc as an engineer for 27 years.
Survivors include two sons: Alexander J. Degener, and fiancee, Rebekah Bruce, Columbus, Ohio., Michael R. Degener, Nashville, Tennessee; mother of his children: Jennifer Degener, Naperville, Illinois; one brother and sister-in-law: Alan and Sheila Degener, Juneau, Alaska; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Paula Degener, Greeley, Colorado, Janet and Jim Lumpp, Lexington, Kentucky. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive.
Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
