Life Story for Jean H. Imhoff

Jean H.  Imhoff
Jean H. Imhoff, age 76, a Manitowoc resident, passed away Saturday at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

She was born on October 14, 1940 in Stephenson, MI, daughter of the late Donald and Eunice (Anderson) Johnson. On September 3, 1960 Jean married Roger Imhoff in Stephenson, Michigan. Roger preceded her in death on October 6, 2003. She was employed at Sigman’s Curtain Shop for many years and was later part owner of First Design Center in Manitowoc. Jean volunteered at the Holy Family Memorial Medical Center gift shop, cooked meals for the Hope House, prepared lunches for funerals at Lakeshore United Methodist Church, and was a long time member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority. She enjoyed picnics, quilting, and Sunday dinners. Jean was very involved in her grandchildren’s lives, family was the most important thing to her. She was a very kind and welcoming person with a warm heart.

Survivors include two sons and two daughters-in-law: Bryan (Elaine) Imhoff, Manitowoc; Chris (Sandy) Imhoff, Manitowoc; one daughter and one son-in-law: Wendy (Glen) Allison, Woodbury, MN; six grandchildren: Grant (Angie) Imhoff; Lauren Imhoff; Maddie Imhoff; Cassie (John) Pogatschnik; Brittany (Chad) VandenLangenberg; Jenny (Eddie) Allison-Meyrs; five great grandchildren: Jamesyn Imhoff; Reese and Fynn Pogatschnik; Micah and Lily Myers; one brother and sister-in-law: Clark (Janet) Johnson; one brother-in-law: Warne Erickson. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Jean was preceded in death by one sister: Linda Erickson.

Cremation has occurred at the All-Care Cremations Center, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Lakeshore United Methodist Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Carly Kuntz. Burial of Jean’s cremated remains will be at Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Lakeshore United Methodist Church, Manitowoc, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m.
