Life Story for Christy A. Zahn

Christy A.  Zahn
Christy A. Zahn, age 61, a Manitowoc resident, died Monday afternoon, April 16, 2018 at Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.
She was born on September 17, 1956 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Alfred and Donna (Loeh) Zahn. Christy was a graduate of Manitowoc Lutheran High School, Class of 1975 and also Lakeshore Technical College graduate in the Early Childhood Program. Christy was proud of her degree and being a teacher and loved working with “her kids” in the classroom. Christy was a member of the board, of the Community Options Program, representing the disabled of Manitowoc. She received an award for public speaking to the medical community. Every one of her family members (brother, sisters, nieces and nephews) are a better person for having Christy in their lives.
Survivors include her six siblings: Sue Robison, Keith (Tari) Zahn, Rebecca Zahn, Laurie (Gary) Faust, Tracy Testa, JoAnne (Paul) Hagen; eleven nieces and nephews: Shawn, Jeremy, Brian, Jennifer, Bradley, Benjamin, Scott, Emily, Jeffrey, Lauren, Allison; her second father: Ron & Nancy Crabb; and a special friend: Ruth Rauch. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law: Greg Robinson; her third father: Howard Rauch; a special aunt and uncle: Dorothy and Dick Zinkel and two great nieces: Emily Sue and Meridian Mae.
Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc. Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Service will be the Rev. Scott Hirssig with burial of the cremated remains at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, town of Kossuth.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Manitowoc, from 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2018 until 4:00 p.m.
