Life Story for Evelyn S Yanda

Evelyn S. Yanda, age 82, a Manitowoc resident, died Sunday, June 24, 2018 at North Ridge Medical & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.
She was born on October 24, 1935 in the town of Franklin, Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Frank and Anita (Warner) Polifka. On June 10, 1953 she married Joseph G. Yanda at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. He preceded her in death on August 18, 2007. Evelyn was a cook for Bud Willman’s Lunch in Manitowoc for 39 years, retiring in 2006. She was an auxiliary member of Fraternal Order of Eagles 706 Aerie, Manitowoc.
Survivors include nieces and nephews: Carol (Arnold) Mott, Manitowoc, Emily (Cletus) Rataichek, Brillion, Harlan Freidenberger, Green Bay, Frank Freidenberger, Manitowoc, James (Shirley) Freidenberger, Reedsville, Mary Jo Sturm, Two Rivers, Elaine (Charles) Riederer, Cato and Jeannette Junk, Newton. Other nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by one daughter: Susan Yanda; three brothers: Francis Polifka, Edward Polifka, Raymond Polifka; and one sister: MaryAnn Freidenberger.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2018 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, (1416 Grand Avenue), Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dave Pleier with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, (1416 Grand Avenue), Manitowoc, from 9:30 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2018 until 10:45 a.m.
