Life Story for Thomas John Melichar
Thomas J. Melichar, age 54, a Mishicot resident, passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Aurora BayCare in Green Bay, after a two year battle with cancer.
Tom was born on April 13, 1964 in Two Rivers, son of Judy (Novitski) Melichar and the late Leo Melichar. He was a graduate of Mishicot High School with the class of 1982. Tom served in the United States Navy from 1982 - 1988. On August 24, 1991 he married the former Pamela Boettcher at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Gibson. Tom was employed with the Point Beach Nuclear Plant as a maintenance mechanic. He enjoyed spending time with his family and watching the Packers, Brewers and Bucks. Tom also liked to work on cars, especially Ford Mustangs.
Survivors include his wife: Pamela Melichar, Mishicot; four daughters: Tessa Melichar and her fiancé Alex Krepline, Brillion, Mackenzie Melichar, Mishicot, Morgan Melichar and special friend Jake Brotski, Mishicot, Emily Melichar and special friend Tanner Kunesh, Mishicot; his mother: Judy Melichar, Mishicot; one brother and sister-in-law: Rick and Debbie Melichar, Hortonville; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Ernie and Karen Boettcher, Mishicot; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Kevin Kuss and special friend Lynn Hietpas, Denmark, Jenny and Mike Peroutka, Two Rivers. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was also preceded in death by one sister-in-law: Debbie Kuss.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Gibson. Officiating at the service will be Pastor James Heffner with burial to follow at St. Johns Lutheran Church Cemetery, Gibson. Military rites will be accorded by VFW and American Legion Posts of Two Rivers.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, November 23, 2018 at the Klein and Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The visitation will continue Saturday morning at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Gibson, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
