Life Story for Lynn Cerkas (Kinstetter)

Lynn M. Cerkas, age 66, of 1913 Pleasant Street, Manitowoc, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Aurora Bay Care Medical Center, Green Bay, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born January 5, 1952 in Kewaunee, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Elmer J. and Lorraine M. (Zipperer) Kinstetter. Lynn attended Kewaunee High School, graduating with the class of 1970. On October 21, 1972, she married Brian J. Cerkas at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Kewaunee. Lynn was employed at the Covered Wagon Restaurant in Manitowoc as a cook who specialized in delicious desserts, baking for 23 years. She also volunteered as a religious education teacher at Holy Innocent’s Catholic Church for 15 years.
Survivors include her husband: Brian J. Cerkas, Manitowoc; one daughter and son-in-law: Kerry (Nick) Walters, Maribel; three sons and two daughters-in-law: Eric (Apryl) Cerkas, Tomahawk, Wisconsin, Kevin (Angie) Cerkas, Manitowoc, and Timothy Cerkas, Manitowoc; eight grandchildren: Aubrey, Alena, Levi, Micah, Sawyer, Ben, Eli, and Sam; one sister and two brothers-in-law: Sandra “Sam” (Al) Schroeder, DePere and Leonard “Lenny” Frank, Luxemburg, Wisconsin; six brothers and five sisters-in-law: Clint (Karen) Kinstetter, Kewaunee, Joe (Teri) Kinstetter, Sugarbush, Dave (Angela) Kinstetter, Winterhaven, Florida, Don (Janet) Kinstetter, Moorcroft, Wyoming, Ken (Lisa) Kinstetter, Kewaunee, and Rob Kinstetter, Luxemburg, Wisconsin; and three brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law: Joseph (Carolyn) Cerkas, Manitowoc, Rev. John Cerkas, Cavour, Wisconsin, Calvin Cerkas, Laona, Wisconsin, and Jeanette Kutil, Cavour, Wisconsin. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was further preceded in death by one sister: Kay Frank; and four brothers-in-law: John Kralovec, Roland Kutil, Louis “Lanny” Cerkas, and Randall “Randy” Cerkas.
Cremation has occurred at the All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, and funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 14, 2018 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, 1416 Grand Avenue, Manitowoc. Concelebrating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. John Cerkas and the Rev. David Pleier. Entombment of her cremated remains will take place at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Friday, December 14, 2018 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, 1416 Grand Avenue, Manitowoc.
