Obituary for Lorraine J. Lukas
Lorraine J. Lukas, age 95, a resident of Manitowoc, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at St. Mary’s Nursing Home, Manitowoc.
Lorraine was born on June 13, 1925 in Denmark, WI, daughter of the late Arthur and Magdalene (Schmidt) Johnson. She was a graduate of Denmark High School and on November 29, 1947 she married Gus Lukas in Denmark, WI. Lorraine was an avid bridge player; she loved to winter in Arizona with her husband Gus and was a longtime member of First Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. More than anything, she loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 73 years: Gus Lukas; their four children: John (Kihwa) Lukas, Mark (Susan) Lukas, Thomas (Mary Beth) Lukas, Lori (Paul) Foy; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and one sister: Joan Buth. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
Cremation has taken place at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, and private family services were held.
