Martin A. "Mort or Marty" Drury
Martin (Mort, Marty) Drury, just shy of his 85th birthday left us while in hospice in the peace of his Two Rivers, WI home.

8 ½ years in the Air Force followed by a master's degree in Guidance Counseling which led him to Roncalli H.S., the Manitowoc Public School system and Liaison Officer for the Air Force Academy.

A passion for introducing others to the outdoors was fulfilled through Venture Out, an extension of Ecology Sports with its 3 locations in Manitowoc, Kohler, and Sister Bay WI. XC and downhill ski trips throughout the US and Europe, Wyoming backpack trips and wilderness canoe trips, windsurf lessons and Adventures in Attitudes classes, as well as introduction of the Mini- Birkebeiner and Manitowalk. A certified XC ski instructor, he was a steward at the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid.

At the age of 75, wondering if he could still throw a baseball across the plate, he proved he could at the Brewer Baseball Fantasy Camp.

He leaves behind his wife of 62 years, Nancy, his son David (Cheryl) Drury of Shorewood WI, His 4-daughters, Angela (Norm) Autrey of Taos NM, Pamela Wattenmaker of Sister Bay WI, Camilla (Brent) Hitzeman of Ellison Bay WI, Alicia (Joel) Kersebet of Sister Bay WI, 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
