Obituary for Richard S. Schwoerer

Richard S.  Schwoerer
Richard S. Schwoerer, age 70, of Manitowoc passed away Friday, May 7, 2021 at River’s Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Richard was born December 15, 1950, in Manitowoc, son of the late Ervin and Mary (Durben) Schwoerer. He attended schools in Valders and graduated with the class of 1969 of Valders High School. On October 5, 1974 Richard married the former Celinda Yerkman at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church, St. Nazianz. She preceded him in death on August 6, 2017. He was employed for many years at Eggers Industries in Two Rivers until his retirement in 2017.

Richard is survived by: two sons and one daughter-in-law: Jason (Jayme) Schwoerer, Manitowoc; Michael Schwoerer, Manitowoc; five grandchildren: Mykaela Watts, Pierson Schwoerer, Kyle Schwoerer, Sophie Schwoerer and Ayla Schwoerer, all of Manitowoc; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Carl (Bonnie) Schwoerer, Reedsville; Robert (Agnes) Schwoerer, Manitowoc Rapids; Matthew (Lisa) Schwoerer, Florida; two sisters: LaVerne Emrich, Ripon; Agnes Bratz, Manitowoc. He was preceded in death by his parents: Ervin and Mary Schwoerer; his wife: Celinda Schwoerer; and an infant brother: David John Schwoerer.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 13, 2021 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, 928 South 14th Street, Manitowoc. Deacon Al Boeldt will officiate services. The family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. Richard will be entombed at Knollwood Mausoleum following services.
